Red Roan Appaloosa Custom Breyer Horse

LOVE how this guy came out. I am not sure what his name is, but to me it looks like it should be "Wildfire" or something like that :-) He belongs to Julia in Georgia.

He is painted on the Mon Gamin Breyer model. His body was airbrushed in acrylic and all his details/spots are painted by hand. :-)
Here's a little horse painting secret- To get the vibrant red brown I use Liquitex Basics "Red Oxide".

I also painted horseshoes on this guy, he's such a stud! Well-- a gelding *wink*

Do you have a horse you would like turned into a custom model? Please email me for a price list at kcampbellartist@hotmail.com
Models start at $65

Custom Breyer Horse: Meet Sonny

Sonny belongs to Katie in New Jersey. He is a beautiful Red Dun!
This is the second model I did for Katie, the last one I did for her was a pretty dapple grey.

This model was airbrushed, I carved out his hooves and ears, sanded his logo and heavy seams, and added boyparts to make him a gelding.

Meet Bling- Custom Breyer Foal

Bling is the offspring of Mystic and Chic (His grandfather is Smart Chic Olena). Isn't he handsome? I also had the pleasure of doing two models of his dad Chic, and a model of his mother Mystic to complete the custom breyer set. I loved painting this little foal!

Meet Jack

This gorgeous appaloosa belongs in Rachael in Maryland. I had alot of fun with this guy. It was definitely a challenge to try placing all the spots according to the body movement of the model.
I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for my airbrush gun! The time it saves me in painting the initial basecoat of the model was well worth the investment.

The Finishing Touch

I got my new sign yesterday! It's definitely the finishing touch to all the hard work done in the inside. I couldn't have done it without all my wonderful neighbors and friends who helped out.
Ron from Off the Beading Path for doing the interior work, Andy from Bambini's Boutique and Tom my previous next door neighbor for helping me move out all my stuff from upstairs, Lisa from Lisa Julia Photography for helping me paint...and so many more! THANK YOU!
