Red Roan Appaloosa Custom Breyer Horse

LOVE how this guy came out. I am not sure what his name is, but to me it looks like it should be "Wildfire" or something like that :-) He belongs to Julia in Georgia.

He is painted on the Mon Gamin Breyer model. His body was airbrushed in acrylic and all his details/spots are painted by hand. :-)
Here's a little horse painting secret- To get the vibrant red brown I use Liquitex Basics "Red Oxide".

I also painted horseshoes on this guy, he's such a stud! Well-- a gelding *wink*

Do you have a horse you would like turned into a custom model? Please email me for a price list at kcampbellartist@hotmail.com

Ivans Request Appaloosa Custom Breyer

This handsome gelding belongs to McKayla in North Dakota! He was by far the most challenging custom I have done so far, but also alot of fun!
This fellow was done on the Smarty Jones Breyer mold and was painted in acrylics, had his boy parts removed (to make him a gelding), and was very meticulously spotted.
There is mapping around his spots, and perhaps my favorite part is his pinked and spotted nose.

Interested in owning your own custom of your horse? Prices range from $50-100 (VERY good deal for customized breyers!!) you can view more of my customs on my website at:

My Newest Hobby-- Custom Breyer Horses

So I have always loved and collected breyer model horses, but my latest hobby has been repainting them and trying my hand at customization. I have my latest model for sale on ebay, and so far it's gotten almost 300 views and alot of attention from people interested in having models repainted to look like their horse. I would love to be able to do this more often and do well at it...
