I'm Still Alive!

I know I've neglected my blogging, but it doesn't mean I haven't been busy! Here are some custom model horses I've recently completed.

Meet Flower! I added real metal horseshoes to this model.

Meet Rosie! The dappling on her provided a challenge...

Meet Classy and Hottie!

Meet Burly! I had to add a lot of mane and tail to this Belgian.

I am working on many other models this Christmas season and will update you soon. :-) If you are interested in gettign a custom done, I am affordable and can be emailed at kcampbellartist@hotmail.com

Pet Portraits by Northern Virginia Artist Kelly Campbell

Pencil drawing, client had me change the clothes into show clothes

watercolor dog portrait

Acrylic cat portrait

As a northern Virginia artist, one of the things I love doing most are pet portraits. Over the years I have been asked to do all kinds of dogs, kitties, and horses-- unfortunately most of them under sad circumstances as a memory of a pet lost. Some though, have been as gifts to celebrate the living.
Want a portrait of your own? My 8 x 10 single subject portraits start at only $60.
please take a look on my website for more samples of my work and to contact me.

Red Roan Appaloosa Custom Breyer Horse

LOVE how this guy came out. I am not sure what his name is, but to me it looks like it should be "Wildfire" or something like that :-) He belongs to Julia in Georgia.

He is painted on the Mon Gamin Breyer model. His body was airbrushed in acrylic and all his details/spots are painted by hand. :-)
Here's a little horse painting secret- To get the vibrant red brown I use Liquitex Basics "Red Oxide".

I also painted horseshoes on this guy, he's such a stud! Well-- a gelding *wink*

Do you have a horse you would like turned into a custom model? Please email me for a price list at kcampbellartist@hotmail.com
Models start at $65
